Topic Tycoon is a fun impromptu speaking game where players respond to random topics, earn game money for strong speeches, and race towards a target fortune.

  • You begin with nothing.

  • Every speech gives you the chance to earn.

  • Speak well, stay on time, and grow your balance.

  • Choose from four different scenarios 

  • Practice individually or compete with other players

How The Game Works

Topic Tycoon can be played in three ways:

Target Mode

Players race to reach a chosen target.

For example:

  • First to $5000 wins

  • First to $10,000 wins

  • First to $20,000 wins

The target can be set before the game begins.

Timed Mode

Players compete for a set amount of time.

For example:

  • 15 minutes

  • 30 minutes

  • 60 minutes

  • One club meeting

  • One training session

When time is up, the player with the highest balance wins.

Practice Mode

Play alone and build your speaking skill at your own pace.

Use Practice Mode to improve:

  • Thinking under pressure

  • Speaking without notes

  • Timing

  • Structure

  • Clarity

  • Confidence

You choose your risk vs reward timing option

  • Fully timed with a countdown timer = The lowest potential earnings

  • No indication of time = The highest potential earnings

  • A traffic light system showing green, orange and red = The middle ground​

You receive the topic

  • A random topic appears on screen.

  • After 5 seconds, you begin speaking

  • No long preparation.

  • No notes.

  • Just you and the topic.

​

Deliver your speech

  • Speak for the allotted time​

  • Follow the principles of good communication

  • Keep to time - The less help you receive, the higher the possible reward​

Receive your initial score

Your speech is analysed and scored, taking into account:

  • ​Structure

  • Clarity

  • Delivery

  • Engagement

  • Language

  • Impact

Earn your money

  • Your score determines how much you earn from the available prize.

  • For example, If the maximum prize is $750 and your speech scores 40%, you earn $300

​

Watch the timing

  • For each second you are under or over time, an amount is deducted from your initial score.
